Relaunch your launcher and let it pull Mod 3.24.0. The game stays on 6.4.5.
Clans
- Clans are here. Open Social > CLAN to make one or join one. A clan has a name of up to 25 characters and a tag of up to 4 letters or digits, and shows everywhere as NAME [TAG]. Up to 50 members.
- Making a clan. Press MAKE A CLAN, fill in CLAN NAME and CLAN TAG, and press CREATE CLAN.
- Three ranks.
- Clan Master: one per clan, runs everything. Renames the clan, changes its tag, promotes and demotes, can remove anyone, and can hand the clan to someone else.
- Clan Leader: invites players and removes members.
- Member: plays under the tag.
- Invite anyone. Clan Masters and Clan Leaders have a box at the top of the CLAN page: type a Spellbreak ID and press INVITE. They don’t need to be your friend. INVITE TO CLAN is also on friend and Recent Teammates rows.
- Joining. A waiting invite lights the FRIENDS and CLAN tabs and shows on the CLAN page. Press JOIN to accept.
- Managing members. Open a member’s row on the CLAN page for PROMOTE TO CLAN LEADER, DEMOTE TO MEMBER, MAKE CLAN MASTER and KICK FROM CLAN, as your rank allows. Your own row has LEAVE CLAN. A Clan Master hands the clan to someone else before leaving.
- Your tag comes from your clan. It shows as [TAG] Name in matches and in chat, and beside your name on friend rows and party entries. Show Clan Tag on the Account screen still turns it on and off. Tags typed before clans existed became one-member clans with their owner as Clan Master.
- On elefrac.com too. The Clan tab on your account page does everything the in-game page does.
Hi-scores
- The hi-scores page is now split into Individual hi-scores and Clan hi-scores.
- Clan hi-scores rank clans by their members: average Mage Rank, average Class Mastery for each class and overall, and the clan’s combined exiles, damage, wins, assists and games, plus clan K/D. Overall, weekly and monthly standings, with the mode filter and a clan search.
Matches
- Shorter lobby waits in every arena mode. The countdown starts once a second player is in, each later join adds 15 seconds, and a full lobby still starts in 30 seconds:
| Mode | Countdown | Longest wait |
|---|---|---|
| Team Deathmatch | 3:00 | 5:00 |
| Free for all | 3:00 | 5:00 |
| Dominion | 4:00 | 6:00 |
| Clash | 4:00 | 7:00 |
- Team Deathmatch matches can now run for up to 45 minutes, and small matches last longer: a 1v1 goes to 9. The target is 3 points per player plus 3 (2v2: 15, 5v5: 33).
- Fairer teams for new players. Until a player has finished their placement matches, the matchmaker treats them as lower rated, easing up as they play, instead of placing them in the middle.
Fixes
- Spectating a Team Deathmatch or Dominion match no longer shows a blurred respawn screen over the view.
Back-end fixes
- Clan changes (invites, promotions, a member leaving) now reach everyone in the clan straight away, instead of only the player who made the change.
- The website has been updated against a recent security issue in PHP. Nothing indicates the site was affected.
See you in the Hollow Lands.
