Elemental Fracture: Game v6.1.1 · Launcher v3.0.2

A polish-and-fixes wave sitting on top of the big 6.1.0 release. Relaunch your launcher, let it pull v6.1.1, and play.

Linux setup is hands-off now

If you’re on Linux and didn’t already have Proton, umu, or Wine set up, the launcher would install fine but the game had nothing to actually run on. That gap is closed. Hit Play and, if nothing’s installed, the launcher quietly sets up a self-contained runtime for you (umu-run, which pulls its own Proton) before it launches. If you already have a runtime, whether that’s a Steam Deck, CachyOS, Bazzite, or your own umu/Wine, it notices and goes straight to the game without touching a thing.

Fresh installs are solid

We hunted down a bad one: a from-scratch install could finish “successfully” and still come out subtly broken, a garbled menu and a Start button that did nothing, because the extractor was silently skipping files. It no longer does. Every file is now accounted for, and if a download ever arrives corrupt the launcher tells you to grab it again instead of dropping you into a half-installed game. The install bar also stops looking frozen on that final, enormous game pak; it moves smoothly to the finish.

Crouch, on your controller

Hold the dodge button on a controller to crouch, tap it to dodge like always if you’re on the Classic game mode. No extra keybind, no menu digging, it’s baked right in. Keyboard players are untouched.

Dominion matches finish cleanly

Dominion rounds could take the whole match server down right at the end, which meant no results screen and no recorded stats. Fixed: matches wrap up properly now, the scoreboard shows, and your stats get saved.

Update: relaunch your launcher and it pulls v6.1.1 automatically.
