Uninstall previous versions
If you have any older build of the game installed (from Steam, Epic Games, or an earlier community release), remove it first, either from that client or through Windows “Add or Remove Programs.” You don’t need any of those old files: the launcher installs a clean, up-to-date copy for you.
Warning
Version 2.0 of the launcher was discontinued as of 28 August, 2026. If you still have this launcher, it will not work anymore and should be removed from your system before you install the current one.
Set up with the launcher
Everything now runs through the Elemental Fracture launcher. It downloads and updates the game, keeps your paks current, signs you in, and drops you straight into matchmaking. There is no manual install to do and no server address to type in.
- Create your account. Set up an account with an email address and a password. You’ll confirm it with a one-time code sent to your email. Once you’re in, you can optionally link your Discord from the account page.
- Download the launcher and run the installer.
- Go through first-time setup. When the launcher opens, choose where to install the game and let it download, or point it at a copy of the game files you already have. It only downloads what’s missing or out of date, so an existing install saves time and bandwidth. Give it a few minutes on the first run.
- Log in with the account you just created.
- Press Play. The launcher starts the game already signed in. Pick a mode from the in-game menu and hit Play: matchmaking finds a match and puts you into it automatically. No IP addresses, no ports.
